emixengineTorontoeMixEngine officially announces the successful launch of their new music mixing service. eMixEngine.com launched on June 12, 2009 to great fanfare and success as it introduces a revolutionary way for budding musicians, bands, and singers to have their music mixed and mastered by industry leading professionals in a highly affordable manner. Before eMixEngine people either had to try to do it at home themselves, and could never get the quality results, and great sound that professionals could deliver, or they had to pay expensive recording studio fees. Now music artists all around the world have a 3rd option. They can record their tracks themselves, and have industry leading professionals make it sound world class.

eMixEngine CEO, Lawrence Tepperman, believes that the market is ripe for this industry changing business model. There are over 11 million bands and musicians on MySpace alone and now that iTunes enables budding musicians to upload their music for sale right on its site, it is clear than music has become democratized…everyone can chase the dream, and they don’t need an agent, middlemen, or have to pay expensive recording studios. With eMixEngine these artists can sound like chart topping bands while typically spending less than $25 per band member on average to do so.

eMixEngine President and Chief Music Engineer, Brian Moncarz, came up with the idea for eMixEngine in 2008. Moncarz has spent over a decade in the music industry working with the likes of legendary music producer Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd, Kiss, Jane’s Addiction), and three time Grammy Award winning producer David Bottrill (Peter Gabriel, Tool, Silverchair), along with countless labels, Universal, EMI, Vagrant, Dine Alone, Fearless, EMI Publishing, Victory, Maple Music to name a few. Over the past few years Brian began to notice a shift in the music industry. “As recording budgets tightened, recording technology developed at such a fast pace to the point where artists could produce great sounding recordings from their home”. No stranger to home recording himself, Moncarz would often bring projects home from his studio, Rattlebox Studios, and work on a Pro Tools LE system in the comfort of his own home. eMixEngine is a response to the fundamental shift in the music industry from the label to the artist. “It’s such an exciting time in the industry, I really feel like the sky’s the limit”, says Moncarz. Artists need the ability to have their music professionally mixed and mastered at a price that won’t break their already shrinking budgets. eMixEngine is simple to use, has very quick turn around times, and sounds world-class. A point that Moncarz does not take lightly, “all we have in this business is our name and reputation, it is extremely important to me that our product sound unbelievable, our engineers are incredible and our finished mixes and masters definitely sound world-class.” Brian’s job at eMixEngine is to ensure all of its work achieves the highest quality standards that Brian has become known for.
