apps for homeschooling [1]Alberta’s Apps for Homeschooling [1] is celebrating the New Year by giving away a $25 iTunes GC [2] (US)! This popular review website now has over 100 detailed educational app reviews [3] sorted by grade, subject, device, and cost. Homeschoolers, educators, and parents can enter to win before January 11th, 2012 by sharing which new homeschooling apps they’d like to buy to prepare for the new semester and the new year!
“It has been an exciting four months of rapid growth since Apps for Homeschooling first went live,” said Jennifer Bogart, site owner of Apps for Homeschooling. “After growing rapidly to 1500+ Twitter followers and 2000+ Facebook fans we have so much to celebrate. We want to share our joy by giving away a $25 iTunes GC to one of our readers so her family can enjoy new apps in the new year!”

The giveaway is easy to enter by writing a comment on a blog post with the apps the reader would like to buy with the iTunes GC should she win. Optional bonus entries are also available. The giveaway is limited to entrants with a US iTunes account and closes Wednesday, January 11th at 12 A.M. MST. The winner will be announced the following day.

With many homeschooling families receiving iPads and iPod touch devices as gifts over the holiday season and purchasing them for the upcoming new school semester, homeschoolers are eager to learn about the best educational apps available.

“As a homeschooling mom myself, I understand how busy homeschoolers are. The App Store is huge and it can be difficult to find the apps that best meet specific educational goals. Our site is designed to make it simple for home educators to find the apps they need when they need them along with our personal, first-hand experiences using the apps together as a homeschooling family,” shared Jennifer Bogart.

“It’s going to be a new year and a new semester. Families have new devices from holiday gift-gving and are eager to add some new educational apps to their libraries! Many new families have joined us on Facebook this past week, and site traffic has never been higher,” Bogart noted. “I can’t help but feel that same excitement as I look forward to the new educational apps that will be released in 2012.”
