D-BOX Technologies And Muvico Entertainment Add Another Screen

D-BoxInnovative motion technology developer D-BOX Technologies Inc. has announced a new agreement with Muvico Entertainment to equip four of its existing U.S. theatres with a second D-BOX screen. Considering this new agreement, D-BOX will have 121 screens worldwide equipped with D-BOX MFX systems. More specifically, 12 theatre locations will now be equipped with more than one screen.

Locations include Muvico Parisian 20 and IMAX, West Palm Beach, Fla.; Muvico Broward 18, Pompano Beach, Fla.; Muvico Thousand Oaks 14, Thousand Oaks, Calif.; and Muvico Rosemont 18, Rosemont, Ill. By April, each of these four locations will be equipped with two auditoriums offering D-BOX movies simultaneously.

“The idea of having multiple D-BOX screens in one theatre has long been a goal of ours in order to feature multiple films in D-BOX at the same time,” said President and CEO of D-BOX Technologies, Claude Mc Master. “As we are increasing the number of movies we secure, working with the studios, this has ultimately become a need at several of our current locations and we anticipate duplicating this format at additional sites in the near future.”

“All of our theatres, with the exception of one, feature D-BOX; and the experience continues to grow in popularity among our guests, thus making the installation of additional seating in a second auditorium a very natural next step,” said Muvico Entertainment CEO, Neil Bretan. “Our guests have come to expect the best and the ultimate in entertainment from Muvico, and with D-BOX, we’re providing that and more. Making a capital investment in new motion systems at this point is a natural step given the tremendous impact these systems have had on our overall revenues “
