Clipless Launches Kickstarter For Wearable Tech

clipless [1]They Innovate Inc. is celebrating the launch of their wearable tech accessory Clipless [1], on Kickstarter [2]. Clipless is a patent-pending solution to secure phones or tablets to clothing or surfaces. Simultaneously, they are unveiling a partnership with Y Combinator funded Tagstand, the creators of NFC Task Launcher. Clipless is the first wearable phone accessory that works with normal clothing, with or without pockets or a belt. Inspiration for the product came from female professionals who disliked the bulky traditional phone holsters but had no fashionable alternatives. The clothing connector is great and the mounts included make it far more powerful.

Tablets and phones work with Clipless by using interchangeable mounts with Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. This allows users to automatically launch specific apps, such as GPS or recipe apps, when a device is mounted to specific locations. NFC Task Launcher turns Clipless from a minimalist mounting solution, to a creative time-saving tool.

Unlike other phone accessories, Clipless is not a cheap piece of plastic. It’s made from high-grade die-cast materials and can be used with phones and tablets around the house, at the office, inside a purse, hands-free in the car, and even during an intense gym workout.

Clipless is compatible with the majority of flat-backed phones and tablets. It uses a semi-permanent, peel and stick adhesive that can be applied to phones and most phone cases. If needed, it can be removed without residue. Clipless is also future proof. Accessories and extra parts will be sold separately, so upgrading does not make Clipless unusable. The co-founders are asking backers to pledge $35 to get Clipless.
