RPG Comic Looking For Group To Get Official Video Game

blind ferretAfter 6 years of success as a webcomic, Ryan Sohmer and Lar deSouza are thrilled to announce that Looking For Group has a new video game adaptation currently in pre-production with Netherlands-based developer Paladin Studios. LFG & The Fork of Truth is a 4-player co-op RPG set in the world of Looking For Group. It is a top-down button masher that will allow fans of the comic an unprecedented opportunity to explore the world and play as the characters that they have come to love. A crowdfunding campaign was launched on June 20 on Kickstarter to secure funds, and over $50,000 was raised in the first 24 hours.LFG and The Fork Of Truth

Sohmer explains: “Our fans have always been such a huge part of Looking For Group. We wanted to make sure that they would also be an important part of the process.”

Derk de Geus, founder and CEO of Paladin Studios, has been a long-standing fan of the comic and had this to say. “A friend told me about LFG many years ago, and I was instantly hooked – it was a great way to add some perspective to RPGs. It’s such an amazing opportunity to work on the game now. The comic really comes to life, and whenever I play the prototype I get the same LFG vibe as all those years ago.”

Blind Ferret and Paladin Studios are looking to raise $600,000 through Kickstarter. At the time of press, the campaign had already raised over $70,000.
