CDMN Summer 2013 Update

CDMN [1]Via Newsletter: Continuing the momentum from last month’s Canada 3.0 2013 conference, the Canadian Digital Media Network [1] is busy at home and abroad, helping create jobs, companies and wealth through digital media for Canada.  With summer upon us, the CDMN has a new cohort of businesses going international through the Outbound Soft-Landing Program [2]. The nine companies will visit myriad international markets from Shanghai to Brazil, to make important connections, and close lucrative business deals. To keep track of Soft-Landing Program companies past and present, they have launched a new interactive soft landing map [3] on the CDMN website that allows you to learn about the landing sites across the globe and the Canadian companies that have gone there. Canadian Digital Media Trends - by the numbers for June 2013 [4]

Also featured on the CDMN site is a video of two Soft-Landing Program alumni, Andrew Cherwenka, Co-Founder & CEO of Authintic [5] and Gary Walsh, Managing Partner of DLI.Tools Inc. [6] who speak about taking their startups global and their experience participating in the CDMN Soft-Landing Program. (Premium content, see below for details)

The CDMN team is Edmonton this week for another stop in this year’s Canada 3.0 National Tour. Working with our local hub TRTech Edmonton the event brings together local digital media thought leaders from industry, government and academia to celebrate regional success stories and learn more about the benefits of going global. Check out the CDMN Events Page [7] to see where else they’re going.

So that attendees can continue the conversations started at last month’s Canada 3.0 2013 conference [8], the Canadian Digital Media Network has launched a new website, the CDMN Canada 3.0 Archive [9]. The site curates videos, presentations, pictures and more and will allow you to experience sessions from the first five years of Canada 3.0. Visit the site today for conference materials from 2013, with materials from 2009 to 2012 to be added in the coming weeks. View select keynote presentation videos, download presentations, add your comments and more. Over five years, the CDMN has amassed a tremendous amount of valuable content, as well as made tangible progress towards our Moonshot goal – that anyone can do anything online by 2017 – since its inception in 2009. Non-attendees can access premium keynote presentations with a one time payment of $4.99 CAD.
