Klipfolio Takes Aim At Cloud Software Industry Pricing Schemes

klipfolioCloud-based Web and mobile dashboard solutions developer Klipfolio Inc has announced a new per-user pricing strategy for its dashboard solution – making it one of the most price-effective business intelligence solutions on the market today. Critical of other software as a service (SaaS) vendors that have eliminated full-disclosure pricing programs, Klipfolio CEO Allan Wille says the cloud software industry needs to provide users with more transparency and clarity around solution costs.

In response to a lack of buyer visibility into many SaaS solution prices, the business intelligence dashboarding vendor is launching a progressive pricing model that starts single users at a $20 (Cdn) per month. Under the new model, volume pricing can see customers with more than 1,000 users pay as little as $5 per user per month. Klipfolio’s real-time business intelligence dashboarding solution gives users a way to derive meaningful insights into their business performance without the implementation hassles, cost and complexity of traditional business intelligence tools.

“Klipfolio believes strongly in the need for pricing transparency in the cloud industry. Cloud-based software solutions are now an intrinsic part of enterprise infrastructures, helping users do their jobs more effectively and driving operational efficiencies. We’ve heard time and time again from users across the industry that, far too often, SaaS or cloud companies change the game once the product is implemented, or pricing was not made sufficiently clear from the onset,” said Wille. “Customers deserve better than vague, misleading SaaS pricing. Klipfolio believes that true BI self-service cannot exist without a transparent, clear, and responsible pricing model.”

Since its move to offering a cloud-based solution, Klipfolio has experienced dramatic year-over-year organic revenue growth and has a growing customer list that includes Fortune 500 companies. Klipfolio allows self-service access to its software with users able to pay through automated, monthly billing using their credit card. Users can opt for flexible monthly billing can cancel at any time, without onerous charges or penalties. Klipfolio also offers further per-user discounts for non-profit organizations.
