Casual Connect USA Announces Indie Prize Showcase Winners

Casual ConnectThe Casual Games Association, the host of Casual Connect USA, declared 13 winners of the Indie Prize Showcase during a special awards ceremony. This showcase was sponsored by Facebook, Everyplay, Unity, and SKYmobi, with award prizes donated by Unity, App Promo, Photon Realtime, deltaDNA, 5th Planet Games, Intel, polljoy, Splitforce, Plantronics, Marmalade and Everyplay. The Indie Prize Scholarship provides the opportunity for qualified indie development teams to showcase their games at Casual Connect, a conference for professional developers and publishers in the video game industry.

“With game development teams coming from 20 countries, the Indie Prize showcase is turning into a hotbed of innovation, allowing up-and-coming developers to make new industry connections as well as showcase their games to the major industry players,” says Yulia Vakhrusheva, Director of Indie Prize.

  • BEST GAME AUDIO – Big Action Mega Fight! by Double Stallion, Canada
  • BEST STORY – Whispering Willows by Night Light Interactive, USA
  • MOST INNOVATIVE GAME – Pig Eat Ball by Mommy’s Best Games, USA
  • MOST PROMISING GAME IN DEVELOPMENT – Apsis by A Stranger Gravity, USA
  • BEST DESKTOP GAME – Extrasolar by Lazy 8 Studios, USA
  • BEST MULTIPLAYER GAME – Jump Tanks by Mechanical Butterfly Studios, USA
  • BEST FAMILY FRIENDLY GAME – Slice Fractions by Ululab, Canada
  • BEST FREE-TO-PLAY GAME – Simply Twisted by Endless Wave Software, USA
  • BEST MOBILE GAME – Mr. Runner 2: The Masks by Zing Games, USA
  • MOST PROMINENT FEMALE DEVELOPER – Meri Rosich, Quality Time Lab, Singapore
  • BEST GAME IN SHOW: AUDIENCE CHOICE – Dark Deception by Glowstick Games, USA
  • BEST GAME IN SHOW: CRITICS’ CHOICE – The Phantom P.I.: Mission Apparition by Rocket 5 Studios, Canada
