Frima Studio has announced that couch co-op platformer Chariot is now available on Steam, following its PlayStation 4 and Xbox One releases earlier this fall. In Chariot, a princess and her fiancé venture deep into the royal catacombs to find a final resting place worthy of His Majesty. Featuring stunning environments and a wealth of challenges along the ride, Chariot tests players’ wits and teamwork in order to survive their perilous journey. During a Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo dropped a moon-sized announcement: The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D, a remake of the beloved Nintendo 64 game, is coming exclusively to Nintendo 3DS in spring 2015. It will launch worldwide for Xbox One on October 1, 2014, with launch dates for Wii U and Steam to be revealed soon. In Chariot, a princess and her fiancé descend through the royal catacombs in order to find a burial place worthy of His Majesty. Nintendo has prepared a massive lineup of new games and products for the 2014 holiday season. The lineup includes new entries from some of the biggest franchises in gaming, new hardware bundles for Wii U and Nintendo 2DS, and new amiibo interactive figures featuring some of the most iconic characters in the world of video games. The holiday shopping season begins soon for Nintendo fans, as the first 12 amiibo interactive figures become available for pre-order at a suggested retail price of just $13.99 each. The first dozen characters available for pre-order at select retailers are Mario, Peach, Link, Samus, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Pikachu, Kirby, Fox, Marth, Villager and Wii Fit Trainer, with more on the way in the future. When you see two round objects rolling your way, don’t be alarmed: They’re probably just a harmless golf ball and a familiar pink puffball. On May 2, the Mario Golf: World Tour and Kirby: Triple Deluxe games are launching in stores and in the Nintendo eShop on the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. It’s a double dose of Nintendo! Both games are the next installments in their respective franchises and the first of their series on Nintendo 3DS. Both games also feature some of the most loved and iconic characters in the Nintendo universe. And, best of all, both games are ridiculously fun – which I’m sure I’ll discover just as soon as I have time to play them both. A new Nintendo Direct video has revealed numerous details about the upcoming Super Smash Bros. video games for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS systems. At the start of the video, series creator Masahiro Sakurai announced that the launch of the Nintendo 3DS version of the game is planned for this summer, with the Wii U version planned for winter 2014. Both games will be available in stores and in the Nintendo eShop for their respective platforms. Sakurai also detailed many of the stages and items in both versions, described the games’ online functionality, revealed a new mode exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS version and announced fan-favourite Greninja, a Pokémon from the Pokémon X and Pokémon Y games, as a new playable character. It’s time to get egg-cited! Yoshi’s iconic green-dotted eggs have grown to gargantuan size in the Yoshi’s New Island game, launching for Nintendo 3DS on March 14 – and check out the info below on Yoshi’s Spring Tour. In his new platforming adventure, Yoshi once again moves from sidekick to hero and traverses a wide variety of worlds on a new island to help Baby Mario reunite with his kidnapped brother. Yoshi’s New Island is the third game in the beloved Yoshi’s Island series and features inventive new transformations, giant new eggs, colourful new art styles and a fun new multiplayer mode.
