LudiaLudia and FremantleMedia Enterprises have announced that the Family Feud game is now available for the PS3 on the PlayStation®Network for $9.99.  Family Feud is already available for the Wii™, Nintendo DS™, PC and iPhone™, with an iPad-sized app coming soon. Based on one of the most successful family game shows of all time – which premieres its 12th season in syndication with new host Steve Harvey on September 13th, PS3™ owners can now play as the leader of a ‘family’ in a contest to name the most popular answers to survey questions posed to 100 people. The game features all of the favorite elements of the show as played on television, including the scoreboard, face offs, strikes, stealing and ‘fast money’ rounds. Players can enjoy a thrilling online multiplayer Family Feud experience as they compete against friends and/or other players from across North America in head-to-head challenges via the PlayStation Network. Additionally, multiplayer local and solo game play is also supported.

“Ludia is happy to extend the ever-popular Family Feud franchise to PlayStation 3 systems via the PlayStation Network,” said Alex Thabet, Founder and CEO of Ludia Inc. “This new game is another great addition to Ludia’s growing portfolio of game show games for PS3™, and further reinforces our multiplatform strategy.”

Family Feud for PlayStation 3 system features:

* Three game modes: Play solo, enjoy Multiplayer Mode on one PlayStation 3 system, or play Multiplayer Online via the PlayStation Network.
* Authentic stage, theme music and sound effects create a true-to-show game experience.
* Predictive text input and auto spell checker make typing answers lightning fast.
* Original, fully customizable 3D player avatars: choose hairstyles, clothing, accessories and more.
* Unlock bonus items as a reward for progress in the game.

However, even with Family Feud now launched, Ludia’s dev teams will be working through the summer to bring Who Wants To Be A Millionaire to the video game screen, which is tentatively scheduled for a Q3 2010 release.

“Who Wants To Be A Millionaire continues to be one of the most successful TV game shows, and we are thrilled to create games that will enable fans of the show to experience the legendary ‘hot seat’ like never before,” said Alex Thabet, Founder and CEO of Ludia Inc. “This deal serves to further solidify Ludia’s leadership in the game show video game category, which is proving to be a highly successful area for us across platforms.”

The Who Wants To Be A Millionaire video game will feature elements from the television show as players try to win a simulated $1,000,000 by correctly answering 15 multiple choice trivia questions, each worth increasing amounts of money. Players can seek help for the stumper questions via lifelines like “Ask the Audience”, “Double Dip” or “Phone a Friend.” Additionally, the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire video game will incorporate thousands of questions, connected gaming elements, single and multiplayer game modes, as well as reward systems to fuel the competitive fun between players.

Ludia have also announced game products for The Bachelor & Bachelorette, Amazing Race, American Idol: Star Experience and Planet Fish. Needless to say, with all of these properties in development, Ludia is hiring. Check out the available positions on their site.

skooizSEO SEM agency Skooiz.com and email marketing company Toutacoup.ca have released the results of their latest survey: How do French Canadians Search the Web in 2010 (PDF), which this year made e-business and the growing importance of social media its focus.

Nearly 6 000 opinions were asked for, and the study also added more general issues, like sex, age, place of residence, respondents income, etc., culminating in a comparison with both previous results and with other different studies done in Canada and France.
