Camouflage Data Masking Suite Version 4.2 Now Available

Camouflage Software Inc., a provider of data masking solutions headquartered in St. John’s, has announced the latest camouflage softwareversion of the company’s flagship software product, Camouflage 4.2. The Camouflage Data Masking Solution is designed to protect sensitive information, enabling organizations to discover, classify, subset and protect personal information within non-production environments. Camouflage 4.2 contains numerous functionality enhancements to the core Data Masking Module.

The ETL Masking Engine complements the high performance “in-place” masking architecture to offer the best of both approaches. It integrates with the existing subsetting module to create smaller-sized databases that are masked as data is copied from source to target.

The Transformer API extends the reach of masking by allowing you to call Camouflage transformation logic from outside Camouflage. Mask data directly within your home-grown or off-the-shelf applications for on-the-fly, transaction oriented masking simply by leveraging the Transformer API.

Also, new to this release are Transformer Plugins that further enhance the already robust scripting capabilities of previous Camouflage versions. Accelerate deployment of complex masking rules that behave like “out-of-the-box” logic by using Transformer Plugins for rapid templating of common masking policies for consistent implementation.

“The latest version of the Camouflage Data Masking Solution demonstrates our continued commitment to offering the very best Data Masking platform,” says Kevin Duggan, CEO of Camouflage Software Inc. “It adds impressive new capabilities to further extend the reach, lower the cost and improve the effectiveness of smart data privacy for our customers.”
