Three special career acknowledgments were handed out along with 19 awards honouring the best work created by members this past year. Yesterday in Trenton the Royal Canadian Mint unveiled a silver coin to commemorate the Highway of Heroes. During the ceremony, the Mint also announced that $20 dollars from the sale of each $69.95 Highway of Heroes commemorative coin will be shared between the Afghanistan Repatriation Memorial and the Military Families Fund. Toronto-based SelectCore Ltd., a prepaid telecom and financial services provider and transaction processor for the under-banked consumer market, has announced that it has executed a binding Letter of Intent to acquire the assets of an arms-length Canadian payment processor.
