Going Loud Studios Presents DLC Quest

going loud studiosGoing Loud Studios is proud to announce that “DLC Quest” is now available on the Xbox Live Indie Games marketplace. Gamers can download it for 80 MS Points and find out what happens when DLC practices go too far.  In this latest title from the Ottawa-based indie developer,  players will defeat the bad guy, save the world and get the girl in a game that mocks the game development industry and its foibles – but first you’ll need to find coins to buy DLC to enable animation, sound and even pausing. Thankfully DLC Quest is just satire and all of the DLC is purchased with in-game coins, but it could be considered a cautionary tale for the future…

“The irony of making a game that mocks downloadable content and releasing it in downloadable form is not lost on me,” says Ben Kane, the lone developer of Going Loud Studios. “Heck, if all goes well, I’ll jump the shark and make some DLC for DLC Quest.”

Features:

– Platforming action! Coins to collect, a princess to save, a bad guy to defeat. You like that stuff, right?
– 16 different DLC packs, each providing quiet introspection on the state of the gaming industry
– 10 awards to earn and make you feel reasonably satisfied with yourself

You can try the free trial before buying the full game, but reports from the experts on Twitter say that DLC Quest is well worth the 80 MS Point price.
