[1]The battle of the bad guys concludes as TELETOON Retro’s Top 5 Villains have been chosen. For over a month Canadian fans voted online for their favourite foes of all time. TELETOON Retro [1] is pleased to reveal the Top 5 Villains that will be inducted into the TELETOON Retro Hall of Fame this month:
- The Joker (Batman: The Animated Series)
[2] - Skeletor (He-Man and the Masters of the Universe)
- Megatron (Transformers)
- The Joker (Batman: Live Action)
- The Penguin (Batman: Live Action)
Between October 31 and December 1, over 100,000 votes were cast by TELETOON Retro fans on the station’s web site as well as on its Facebook page [3] for their favourite villains from 33 nominees, including everyone from Lex Luthor to Pizzazz. To celebrate the newly inducted Top 5 Villains, TELETOON Retro will air a special programming marathon featuring all five winners as part of the “Retro Rewind” programming block on Sunday, December 11 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET.
The TELETOON Retro Hall of Fame Top 5 Villains [1] campaign ran in English on TELETOON Retro and in French on TÉLÉTOON Rétro. The Top 5 Villains will join the TELETOON Retro Hall of Fame’s Top 5 Favourite Cartoon Characters of all Time, Sweethearts and Awesome Animals, as chosen by the fans over the last 12 months.
