CIRA Hires New Vice President Of Product Development

ciraThe Canadian Internet Registration Authority, the organization that manages the .CA domain, is pleased to announce the recent hire of Dave Chiswell as Vice President, Product Development. In this newly created role, Chiswell will help CIRA exceed the expectations of its customers in the increasingly competitive domain name market. Chiswell will lead CIRA in the pursuit of new product and service offerings that are complementary to its core .CA registration service, as set out in CIRA’s 2014-16 Strategic Plan.

Chiswell is a seasoned technology veteran with extensive experience in the Internet industry. He joins CIRA after four years with Storm Internet Services, including three and a half years as CEO. Chiswell has also held senior level positions at Efficient Networks in Dallas, Newbridge Networks/Alcatel in Ottawa and Virginia, and at Momentous.ca as CEO of its Domain Group.

“Dave’s depth of knowledge, his track record of successes and demonstrated leadership acumen are exactly what CIRA needs to continue to succeed in the fast-paced Internet industry,” said Byron Holland, President and CEO of CIRA. “As the top-level domain industry changes, CIRA must continue to evolve and grow as the registry for Canada’s only true online identifier, .CA.”

Chiswell joined the CIRA team in September 2013.
