The focus on Canada campaigns at MIP set out to:

“The work accomplished at MIPTV and MIPCOM with the help of so many industry partners has contributed to keeping Canada at the forefront of these very competitive markets,” stated Valerie Creighton, CMF President and CEO.  “We look forward to working with more partners from Canada to build on past successes and ensure the world knows what Canada can do.”

Carolle Brabant, Executive Director of Telefilm Canada, added: “Promoting Canadian content is a natural extension of Canada’s strong presence with the Canada Pavilion. This hub of activity is one of the largest national pavilions at MIP and provides concrete marketing and business opportunities to content creators. In addition, promoting our content beyond the Pavilion allows us to reach new audiences and business partners.”

More information about recent promotional campaigns at MIPTV and MIPCOM are available on the Canada Media Fund site [3].

Interested stakeholders are invited to submit their ideas and suggestions to Ginette Pépin [4] before January 24, 2014. Companies interested in exhibiting in the Canada Pavilion are invited to consult the Call for Entry [5] and the FAQ PDF [6] posted on Telefilm Canada’s Website. The deadline to register to the Canada Pavilion is February 21, 2014.

All feedback will be considered in order to develop a range of optimal opportunities to spotlight Canada during these important international industry events.
