Post-secondary students and instructors in B.C. will be able to access more than 120 open textbooks as dozens of new skills training titles hit digital shelves this fall. Advanced Education Minister Andrew Wilkinson made the announcement at the third-annual BCcampus OpenTextbook Summit in Vancouver. The summit brought together members of the open textbook community, including students and instructors from Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. The Banff World Media Festival is proud to announce the two upcoming annual 2015 Rockie Awards Nominees ceremonies. The Rockies Program Competition, which features 26 categories in drama, documentary, kids and digital, will be hosted by celebrated Canadian-American actor Jason Priestley, on June 8th at 12:00pm. With 104 days of summer vacation right around the corner, Disney XD bids farewell to Phineas and Ferb, the greatest backyard adventurers of all time, with a 37-hour marathon featuring every episode ever from the fan-favourite series. Kicking off at the crack of dawn on Saturday, June 13 at 6 a.m. ET, fans can relive the stepbrothers’ greatest summer escapades, Candace’s biggest brother-busting attempts and the infamous rivalry between Perry the Platypus and Dr. Doofenschmirtz.
