via Xbox Wire: The Xbox team reached another milestone today with the introduction of Xbox Fitness.  This will be a new online service built exclusively for Xbox One that takes the world’s most popular fitness videos and makes them interactive.  The extensive library of videos from the world’s biggest fitness brands including Beachbody’s P90X® (Tony Horton) and INSANITY® (Shaun T), Jillian Michaels, Tracy Anderson and others, will be available for free with Xbox Live Gold memberships through December 2014. Interactive Entertainment has released an action-packed video for Batman: Arkham Origins featuring gameplay from the playable Deathstroke challenge pack, including a sneak peak at the “100-to-1” gameplay mode.  The Deathstroke challenge pack, available to those who preorder the game for PlayStation®3, Xbox 360®, Nintendo Wii U™ or Windows PC, includes a fully playable Deathstroke character, two exclusive challenge maps and three unique Deathstroke character skins. Independent Montreal game studio Spearhead Games and game publisher 505 Games have announced a partnership to digitally release co-op puzzler Tiny Brains on the PlayStation®4, timed to the platform’s North American launch this November 15. In addition to Sony’s next generation console, the four-person action puzzle game will release simultaneously on PlayStation® Network and Windows PC via digital download. Electronic Arts Inc. has announced that EA SPORTS™ FIFA 14 is available in retail stores now throughout North America, and as a digital download on Origin™. The game releases worldwide later this week. More than 5 million* fans worldwide—the most ever for an EA SPORTS game—have played the FIFA 14 demo and the game has received 32 review scores of 9 out of 10 or higher, including five perfect scores. Just a week into their Kickstarter campaign for The Long Dark, and Hinterland Games has already amassed the support of 2,500 backers who have generously pledged more than $70,000 towards development of the simulation survivalist project. The developers are very pleased to announced that one of our personal favourite Canadian actors will be joining Mark Meer (who is also a personal favourite) on the cast of The Long Dark. This morning we were very pleased to discover that Elias Toufexis will be lending his talent to one of the characters, even though Hinterland is not yet revealing which character. Vancouver Island indie game developer Paper Machete Games, creators of the real time strategy (RTS) game Attack of the Gelatinous Blob, has revealed what modding capabilities will be available for the real time strategy game. MEG: RVO from independent Vancouver developer Skunkwerks Kinetic is a top-down, online multiplayer game for the iPad 3 (retina display) and up. It combines action and strategy in a video game universe where Slate Kinetic, a sinister corporate entity, is training remote vehicle operators to explore alternate worlds. The studio’s first production and KickStarter project, MEG:RVO is coming to you from the founders of Skunkwerks Software and its newly formed creative team. The company is made up of diverse professional backgrounds and different levels of experience, and from modellers to programmers to writers, everyone on the team has a say in the final product. Funcom‘s The Secret World is offering its players a new chain of events called The Whispering Tide. In these events the whole community joins together to fight the Filth invasion in the hollow earth – Agartha. The first event in this chain starts today, Friday the 20^th of September, and lasts until the players have overcome the new challenge by beating back the Filth’s attack.
