The villainous Evil Dragon King has begun his plot to destroy the Kitty Claws Clan and take over the world! They have kidnapped the Royal Ninja Kittens and are holding them captive until the Kitty Claws Clan hand over the Mystical Sword. Square Enix® and Eidos-Montréal™, the award winning studio behind the critically acclaimed Deus Ex: Human Revolution®, have released the second trailer in a series of stylized videos that focus on the rich narrative and characters of THIEF’s corrupt and broken city. There were some announcements in today’s Nintendo Direct that made me smile – two of my favourite characters are coming to the Wii U. I am very much looking forward to Donkey Kong’s new title, Tropical Freeze, as well as Yoshi’s New Island. Plus – one of Nintendo’s popular characters from the recently released Super Mario 3D World game is coming to two of its biggest titles of 2014 for Wii U. Rosalina will be playable in both Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart 8. Nintendo also launched NES Remix in the Nintendo eShop on Wii U, re-imagining parts of 16 classic NES games. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today released the all-new “Hunter, Hunted” multiplayer mode available for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, which players can access by jumping into the Batman: Arkham Origins online multiplayer mode. The “Hunter, Hunted” multiplayer mode brings the excitement of “Last Man Standing” to Batman: Arkham Origins.  The new 3v3v1 mode pits three Bane thugs, three Joker thugs, and Batman against each other to be the last team standing. With no respawns, the new “Hunter, Hunted” mode takes Batman: Arkham Origins multiplayer to a whole new level of intensity with heightened tension, risk, and rewards. Read the rest of this entry »

Capcom Vancouver has unveiled Operation Eagle, the first “Dead Rising 3” DLC installment to the Untold Stories of Los Perdidos. This episode puts you in control of Spec Ops Commander Adam Kane on a mission that challenges everything he believes and sets him out to capture the missing President of the United States. Operation Eagle features a new mission, five new weapons, one new combo weapon, one new vehicle, a new clothing outfit, plus additional Gamerscore and the ability to carry experience points back to “Dead Rising 3.” Read the rest of this entry »

Ubisoft^®  has announced that the first DLC for Assassin’s Creed^® IV Black Flag™ multiplayer, Blackbeard’s Wrath, is available from Wednesday for download on PlayStation Network for the PlayStation^® 4, PlayStation^® 3,  and from Tuesday on Xbox LIVE for Xbox One, Xbox^® 360 and PC. Interactive Entertainment and WB Games Montréal have confirmed that the Initiation Challenge Map Add-On for Batman: Arkham Origins is available now on the PlayStation®Network, Xbox LIVE, Steam and Nintendo eShop for $6.99.   The Initiation Add-On focuses on Bruce Wayne before he donned his cowl, and introduces a new challenge campaign with four unique challenge maps and two original skins –  Initiation Bruce Wayne and Vigilante Bruce Wayne.  Players who have purchased the Batman: Arkham Origins Season Pass and are connected to the Internet will have instant access to the content. As a denizen of the airborne world of Cordeus, you travel places by way of airships you build entirely from scratch. This means building a deck with whatever you can find-wood, metal, rocks or even giant animal corpses-adding engines and propellers and taking to the skies in your own custom-built vessel. But the skies are far from friendly, and enemies like pirates and krakens threaten to destroy your creations piece-by-piece until nothing but your grappling hook can save you from plummeting to your doom.  Enter Windforge, a 2D side-scrolling, independent sandbox title in the works by Ottawa-based Snowed In Studios. Until now the company has survived on contract work, contributing to AAA titles such as EA’s The Sims 3 and Eidos Interactive’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and now, for the first time, Snowed In seeks to fund its own independent title by turning to Kickstarter.
