Sugar Rush To Enter Closed Beta This Month

VancouverKlei Entertainment is pleased to announce that Sugar Rush, a Free-to-Play online arena combat game will enter its next iteration’s closed beta period on November 20th. Sugar Rush has a fast-paced, “pick-up and play” action style and is accessible to a wide audience, from novice to hardcore. Gamers will be able to play with or against their friends, battling it out in a devious yet light-hearted world. Sugar Rush is rated “E” for Everyone by the ESRB.

Sugar Rush showcases a stunning 2D visual look that sets a new standard for Free-to-Play games, and features the artwork of Jeffrey Agala, the long standing director of Atomic Betty and other TV cartoons. Mix this with Klei’s quirky sense of design and polish, together with a complete character customization engine, and you get the best game that Klei has been involved in to-date.

Created and developed by Klei Entertainment, and produced by Nexon’s Humanature Studio, Sugar Rush will be released by Nexon America.

Crash is Back

Crash is Back in Another Ginormous Adventure! Crash Bandicoot: Mind over Mutant, developed by Vancouver’s Radical Entertainment, has hit store shelves worldwide and is available on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, Wii™ home video game system, Nintendo DS™, PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system and PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system.
In the deepest Crash adventure yet, Crash: Mind Over Mutant arms players with new features, including the ability not only to control enemies once they are ‘jacked,’ but to store the mutants in Crash’s pocket, upgrade them and utilise their unique powers. Players can also roam through Wumpa Island in a two-player cooperative mode with Crash’s sister Coco.

Beenox Celebrates 007 Quantum of Solace Release

Quebec CityBeenox Studios, an Activision Publishing, Inc. property today announced that the Quantum of Solace™ video game, based on the eagerly anticipated “Quantum of Solace” and prior “Casino Royale” James Bond films, is now available. Developed under license from EON Productions Ltd and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (MGM), the Quantum of Solace video game equips players with the weapons, espionage and hand-to-hand combat skills and overall charm needed to survive the covert lifestyle of legendary 007 secret agent James Bond. Beenox Studios developed the Games for Windows and Wii versions of the game.

Ludia to Put Its Spin on “Press Your Luck”

TransGaming Inc. To Port City of Heroes Over To Mac

Toronto – NCsoft®, the world’s premier publisher and developer of massively multiplayer online games (MMOs), today announced a partnership with TransGaming, Inc. to bring their award-winning City of Heroes ® franchise to the Apple® Macintosh®. The game has been enabled for the Mac by TransGaming, a leading developer of portability technologies for the electronic entertainment industry. City of Heroes for Mac will be available for public beta testing with the release of the game’s thirteenth expansion, Issue 13: Power and Responsibility later this fall. The official launch will occur pre-holiday this year with a special digital-only Mac edition of City of Heroes, available across all NCsoft West consumer territories.
