Electronic Arts Inc. has announced  the availability of the EA Sports™ SSX™ Mt. Eddie and Classic Characters DLC packs on Xbox LIVE® and the PlayStation®Network. Building upon the successful re-launch of the SSX franchise with 25 review scores of 9/10 or higher, the SSX DLC packs pay homage to the franchise’s rich heritage with the SSX Tricky inspired Mt. The FIFA Interactive World Cup (FIWC), the virtual football tournament loved by football fans across the globe, has surpassed one million players participating in the annual tournament. Following the first ever FIWC in 2004, the tournament has grown significantly and in 2011 secured its place in the Guinness World Records as the largest online gaming tournament in the world. This year’s FIWC has already attracted over 130,000 more players than last year’s event, tipping it over the 1 million player mark for the first time in the tournament’s history. The community buzz and appetite for an authentic street soccer game has pushed the FIFA Street demo to near-record levels of global excitement. More than 2.1 million people have downloaded the demo in the past two weeks, making FIFA Street the second most downloaded demo—behind only FIFA Soccer 12—released by EA SPORTS over the past year, according to internal data provided by SONY and Microsoft.
