Red Barrels, the independent developers of survival-horror PC title Outlast, today revealed shocking direct footage of the happenings within Mount Massive Asylum, a facility owned by the Murkof Corporation. The footage, sent by an anonymous source, was accompanied by a message from the investigative reporter who captured the video, Miles Upshur. His note has been published in its entirety below. Kerberos Productions has created a playable preview demo for its latest game, Sword of the Stars: The Pit, a fun, fast, light-hearted action RPG, made in the tradition of Rogue and other old school dungeon-diving games. The Far Cry Experience is a four episode mockumentary web series created and produced internally by Ubisoft to tie in with the release of the Far Cry 3 game. The series stars Superbad and Kick-Ass actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse as himself. It also stars Michael Mando, the voice and performance capture actor for the game’s character Vaas Montenegro. In its execution, the series is aimed to play with the codes of gaming, transcribing its violence while maintaining a humorous tone. Global pre-orders of Assassin’s Creed III already have more than doubled those of last year’s Assassin’s Creed Revelations®, Ubisoft’s previous pre-order record holder.
