Seven Canadian films have been selected by the Festival, one of the most important in Asia, including two world premieres. The Canada Media Fund has announced that New Zealand and Canada are joining together to establish a million dollar matching fund to encourage the coproduction of innovative digital media projects for online audiences. The Canada-New Zealand Digital Media incentive has $1M CDN ($1.1M NZD) available in the 2014-2015 financial year to be allocated to approximately three eligible projects. SkyWave Mobile Communications, a global provider of wireless data communications for the Machine-to-Machine (M2M) market, today announced that their software toolkit now includes an Eclipse-based Integrated Development Environment (IDE)  for creating applications that run inside SkyWave satellite and cellular devices. Eclipse is an open source IDE for programming languages such as Lua and gives a powerful environment in which to build custom software solutions. Frima Studio has announced that couch co-op platformer Chariot is available now on PlayStation 4 in North America and will be available worldwide tomorrow for Xbox One. It will launch October 22, 2014 on PlayStation 4 for EU territories; release dates for Wii U and Steam will be revealed soon. Chariot follows a princess and her fiancé’s expedition through the royal catacombs in order to find a sepulchre worthy of His Majesty’s final resting place.
