Ricoh Canada Inc. Launches RCloud Services

ricoh canadaRicoh Canada Inc. has announced the launch of RCloud Services, a platform for a suite of cloud-based services being offered by Ricoh Canada.  The first of these services is Ricoh’s Enterprise Content Management solution, which provides customers with a powerful “Software as a Service” model to address their content management needs. The company is focusing on small to mid-sized organizations, but the solution is robust enough to easily satisfy the demands of enterprise deployments at the departmental level – and in almost any industry. RCloud Services: ECM, powered by Laserfiche, provides organizations with rapid access to the benefits of a comprehensive ECM, but without the large capital investment.

According to Eric Fletcher, Vice President of Marketing at Ricoh, “We’ve removed the need for large, up-front capital outlays and the challenges of on-premise infrastructure.  Add to that the strength and reach of our truly national service coverage model, as well as out-of-the-box functionality targeting specific key verticals, and the result is a truly compelling case for RCloud Services: ECM.”

Ricoh Canada President and CEO, Mr. Glenn Laverty, underscored the importance of this launch to Ricoh Canada saying “this announcement goes a long way towards redefining Ricoh for Canadian businesses.  We’re providing an industry first Software as a Service (SaaS) Electronic Content Management (ECM) tool, and one that is inclusive of workflow capabilities on a secure platform.  It’s yet another example of how Ricoh Canada has long since moved past just being a hardware and service provider; our services business now extends to the Cloud.”

The offering is designed to assist Ricoh customers in achieving higher cost savings versus a traditional software solution model, which typically involves deployment strategies, onsite support and application administration.  RCloud Service: ECM provides elegant, secure, Cloud-based functionality that includes document imaging, document management and records management across a range of industries and verticals.  The goal is to allow Ricoh customers to offload time-consuming tasks such as upgrades, maintenance, and issue resolution, while ensuring high network uptime and information accessibility and security – all delivered within a monthly operating budget.
