Montreal-born actress Emily Hampshire (Cosmopolis, All The Wrong Reasons) has been cast in a major role in the Syfy series 12 Monkeys. Hampshire is set to play the role previously portrayed by Brad Pitt in the film version. Based on the Terry Gilliam film of the same name, 12 Monkeys follows the journey of a time traveler from the post-apocalyptic future who appears in present day on a mission to locate and eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will eventually decimate the human race. Temple Street Productions Inc. (Temple Street) and Family Channel announced today that principal photography has begun on the third season of hit tween dance series, The Next Step. The serialized drama filmed in reality-style was created by Frank van Keeken (Wingin’ It) and follows the lives of an elite group of dancers.
