Female-focused development studio Silicon Sisters Interactive is pulling back the curtain on their next project: Everlove, a casual game designed to appeal to the more than 74 million people who read romance fiction each year. An interactive narrative that plays like a romance novel brought to life, Everlove will release for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Android in August with versions for PC and Mac to follow. Red Barrels announced today that its darkest brainchild, survival horror experience Outlast will be available on September 4, 2013 for digital download on Steam for $19.99. Outlast received great accolades and awards this past E3, even earning the honor of “Most Likely to Make you Faint.” White-knuckled attendees playing the game for the first time struggled to maintain composure (and consciousness) when faced with the frightening effects of Outlast’s immersive audio design and the shocking truth of what lies inside Mount Massive Asylum. Electronic Arts Inc. has announced that EA Sports™ FIFA 14 is allowing fans to bring their FIFA 14 Ultimate Team experiences with them to the new generation of consoles this year. Fans will be able to access* their FIFA 14 Ultimate Team full roster, in-game items and in-game currency (coins) from either console: between Xbox 360® and Xbox One, and between PlayStation®3 and PlayStation®4. Today Piranha Games and Infinite Game Publishing honour the passing of one of the youngest and most talented Canadian pilots in the MechWarrior Online Inner Sphere, five-year-old Sarah Marie Alida Parries. A custom Jenner Class Chassis Champion ‘Mech, “Sarah’s ‘Mech”, is available now for pilots to purchase for $10 USD through August 20th, with 100 percent of the proceeds (after third-party transaction fees) going to the Canadian Cancer Society. The five year old Vancouver native loved piloting the Jenner ‘Mech in MechWarrior Online with her father, Jon Parries. It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s… a Winged Pikmin! In celebration of Pikmin 3’s North American launch on August 4, Nintendo of Canada is putting a new type of Pikmin, the Winged Pikmin, front-and-centre at Red Bull Flugtag Ottawa-Gatineau. If you haven’t heard of it, Red Bull Flugtag challenges teams to design, build and pilot homemade flying machines… off the end of a 22-foot high flight deck. Our Pikmin may have wings, but will it fly? We’ll find out on July 27! Festivities start at 10:30 a.m. in Ottawa-Gatineau at the Museum of Canadian Civilization, and the event is free.
