Last month Funcom announced a unique competition where the community could send in their own self-made music. The winning tunes would be implemented into The Secret World where they could be enjoyed by all the players in the game. Electronic Arts Inc. has announced that a downloadable demo for Army of TWO™ The Devil’s Cartel, the next installment of the franchise celebrated for its dynamic two player co-operative gameplay and over-the-top blockbuster action, will be available on Xbox LIVE® Marketplace and PlayStation®Network starting on March 12th. In the demo, players will step into the boots of private military contractors Alpha and Bravo as they embark on a mission to rescue a kidnapped politician while diffusing an additional hostage situation. Ubisoft Canada has launched a nation-wide program aimed at giving university students a well-deserved break from their studies, Crush Exam Stress and Just Dance. In the process, Ubisoft Canada will also seek to set a world record on Saturday April 6th 2013, with students from university campuses across Canada all dancing simultaneously to Flo Rida’s Good Feeling (video). The program is based on the insight that exam periods are one of the most stressful times for students on campus, and as they cram for finals they are likely to be more reclusive and shy away from physical activity. In collaboration with Edelman and Redwood Strategic, Ubisoft Canada will offer students an escape from their textbooks and create an opportunity to connect through fun and high-energy activities. Frima Studio has announced that the release date of Zombie Tycoon 2: Brainhov’s Revenge for the PS3 and PS Vita will be April 30th, 2013 in the US, May 1st in Europe and Asia. The sequel to 2009’s hit PS Minis title Zombie Tycoon, Brainhov’s Revenge expands on the hilarious RTS gameplay of the original with new factions of zombies, expansive, detailed maps and Cross Play functionality to link players on consoles and handhelds. Canadian indie developer Phantom Compass takes its upcoming pinball puzzle role-playing game Rollers of the Realm on several side-quests in March. Rollers brings together the drama of RPGs with the fun and skill mastery of pinball, combining physics puzzle play with a unique nudge mechanic. Each character is a pinball, and each scene in the story is a new pinball board. Players can hot-swap characters during play to combat enemies on each board and protect their vulnerable flippers.
