Electronic Arts Inc., the National Hockey League (NHL®) and the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA®) announced yesterday afternoon that New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur has been selected by fans as the EA SPORTS NHL®14 cover athlete. Brodeur defeated Columbus Blue Jackets goalie and Vezina Trophy winner, Sergei Bobrovsky to claim the cover. The NHL 14 cover will be the first to feature a goalie since John Vanbiesbrouck appeared on the cover of NHL ‘97. Ubisoft announced the launch of Watch Dogs’ WeareData, an experiential website designed to gather and graph the publicly available data that govern people’s lives in a single location. WeareData is initially available for the cities of Berlin, London and Paris. In Watch Dogs, the highly anticipated open world action game from Ubisoft, the fictionalized city of Chicago is run by a Central Operating System (CTOS), linking all of the city’s online infrastructures and public security installations to one centralized hub. After 6 years of success as a webcomic, Ryan Sohmer and Lar deSouza are thrilled to announce that Looking For Group has a new video game adaptation currently in pre-production with Netherlands-based developer Paladin Studios. LFG & The Fork of Truth is a 4-player co-op RPG set in the world of Looking For Group. It is a top-down button masher that will allow fans of the comic an unprecedented opportunity to explore the world and play as the characters that they have come to love. VBlank Entertainment has released the latest updates for its hit title Retro City Rampage. In this update, the developers have added official mod support, allowing players to create new vehicles, characters, fonts and color palettes. Steam versions will update automatically. Independent game developer Nine Dots Studio is working towards the end of their current Kickstarter campaign for GoD Factory: Wingmen, the 4vs4 space combat MOBA will be available on PC, Mac and Linux platforms. The competitive game allows players build their ships part by part and fight massive online battles. GoD Factory is currently on Kickstarter and Steam Greenlight seeking support from the community to finish the ambitious project. Nine Dots Studio has been releasing weekly updates for the campaign, including 4 sets of mystery ships, revealing a Linux version of the game, and an impressive video showcasing the game on the Oculus Rift.
