US-based WWE Studios has acquired all US distribution rights to the Toronto International Film Festival cult hit The Day, Doug Aarniokoski’s visceral action thriller. The movie, which was filmed in Ottawa, screened to sold-out crowds in the Midnight Madness section of the Festival. Canadian computer component e-tailer NCIX has officially announced its new expansion into the United States. NCIX has developed a new warehouse location right in the heart of sunny California. Operations will commence on the 16th of September, 2011, and a Grand Opening Sale to celebrate the NCIX U.S. expansion will be coming shortly. The new warehouse is located at 21788 Garcia Lane in City of Industry, California.

E-Debit Global Corporation, in conjunction with its joint-venture with ebackup Inc. and Capital Six Limited, has announced its agreement with European and South African mobile Telco software and infrastructure provider IN-CORP AG’s Canadian subsidiary MapleTel.com to roll out its mobile and internet based payment platforms.

Public Mobile users can now talk and text in more areas across Canada. The company has expanded its Canadian roaming coverage area to include 93% of Canadians. The addition of a new roaming partner allows Public Mobile to expand the area in which its customers can use their phones. Eastern Canada will see the biggest expansion in roaming coverage, in addition to complete coverage of the Quebec City to Windsor, Ontario corridor.
“Public Mobile continues to offer the lowest price for Canadian roaming when compared to other new entrants,” said Public Mobile CEO Alek Krstajic. “We remain committed to bringing Canadians affordable cell phone service,” added Krstajic. For Canadian roaming it costs just 15-cents a minute to send or receive a call. Incoming texts are free and outgoing texts are 15-cents. Public Mobile’s online maps allow people to zoom into and focus on specific areas to determine coverage areas.
