The Banff World Media Festival has just announced that celebrated screen and stage actress Christine Baranski will be presented the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award on June 11, 2013. The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution to the media industry with their esteemed body of work in screen-based entertainment. HootSuite has teamed up with HootSuite Enterprise client WWE to bring to you the ultimate social media command centre. The live display will bring the social interactions of WWE WrestleMania 29 viewers to fans in New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium on April 7, 2013. Before the bout between two wrestling legends, The Rock and John Cena, fans will be able to follow along as these two athletes “duke it out” on Facebook and Twitter. JUNO Songwriters’ Circle is considered “the jewel of JUNO Week.” Taking place on Sunday, April 21 from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. (CST) at the Casino Regina Show Lounge, JUNO Songwriters’ Circle will feature some of today’s most talented Canadian singer-songwriters sharing music and stories on stage. At centre stage will be seven-time JUNO Award winner Tom Cochrane, who will host the show and will also perform in the unique, intimate setting. Over his heralded career, Cochrane has released 13 albums and won seven JUNO Awards. HBO Canada would like to thank the tens of thousands of people who attended Game of Thrones: The Exhibition for making this free celebration of HBO’s hit series such a huge success and for publicly pledging their allegiance to House Stark of Winterfell.
