One of the largest pop culture extravaganza’s in the world is back August 28 to 31, 2014! FAN EXPO Canada™ will cover every inch of the 750,000 sq ft at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre with comics, sci-fi, horror, anime and gaming. It has been revealed in a late night note from Hinterland Games that the team has derived so much useful feedback from The Long Dark‘s early Alpha playtesting, that they want to open up the Sandbox to a much wider audience, and to that end a decision was made to bring the Sandbox Alpha to Steam Early Access in September 2014. The Canada Media Fund (CMF) has announced that 25 interactive digital media projects received a total of $12.6M in funding as part of the first round of production support from the Experimental Stream.  The Experimental Stream encourages the creation of innovative, interactive digital media content and software applications. Consumers will be able to enjoy a variety of interactive digital media content including 16 games, 4 interactive projects, 2 social media platforms, 2 software applications, and 1 ebook.
