Key members of Canada’s business and enterprise sectors have joined Startup Canada’s leadership team as it prepares to launch its national strategy to support entrepreneurship in Canada.  A new Board and two new advisory councils – a National Advisory Council and a Government, Industry and Academic Advisory Board – will strengthen the voice of entrepreneurs at the heart of the organization and engage additional stakeholders from Canada’s economic ecosystem. Startup Canada’s blueprint for kick-starting entrepreneurship in Canada will be unveiled at the end of November and will contain key findings and action items from its National Tour. Ottawa’s Klipfolio Inc. has announced the latest release of its cloud business intelligence dashboard, Klipfolio Dashboard for web and mobile. At the center of this release is a new optimization that makes dashboard rendering in web browsers anywhere from 1.5 to 4.5 times faster. This optimization will have the greatest impact on accounts with a large number of KPIs displayed on their dashboard. Pearson Canada is helping students power up to learn with new iBooks textbooks.  Three of Pearson’s bestselling textbooks, re-imagined for the iPad and brought to life with engaging video, audio, assessment, interactive images and 3D animations, are now available in Canada.  Education Technology Leaders will have an opportunity to preview the new Pearson Biology, Chemistry, and Environmental Science interactive textbooks at the Educational Computing Organization of Ontario (ECOO) annual conference. The initial list of McGraw-Hill Ryerson titles that can be downloaded from the iBookstore includes Remix, A Revolution in Text Forms – a title from the acclaimed Canadian English iLit series – and Biology 12. Students, teachers and schools wishing to purchase Biology 12 will be able to do so on a unit-by-unit basis.
