Amazon To Open A New Canadian Fulfillment Centre In BC

amazonAmazon Canada Fulfillment Services (ACFS) has announced plans to locate a new fulfillment centre in Delta, creating more than 100 new full-time jobs. This 200,000 square foot facility is the company’s first on the West Coast and second fulfillment centre location in Canada, bringing its total Canadian footprint to more than 700,000 square feet. CWTA Seeks Competition Bureau Cooperation To Protect Consumers

cwtaThe Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association (CWTA) today offered the following statement regarding recent actions by the Competition Bureau regarding Common Short Codes. The Bureau’s actions could disrupt the text message services, such as severe weather alerts, charitable donations, flight status updates or sports scores, on which millions of Canadian consumers depend. IAB Canada Announces Rises In Online Advertising Revenues

IAB CanadaIAB Canada has announced the results of its’ 2011 Online Ad Revenue Survey and announced the expected ad spend revenues in 2012. The IAB Canada Online Ad Revenue Survey states that Online Advertising revenues rose 16% to $2.593 billion in 2011, compared to $2.232 billion in 2010. The Survey also estimates Online Ad Revenue will increase to $2.8 billion by the end of 2012. Online Advertising revenue continues to consistently narrow Television’s lead, while pulling further ahead of Newspapers, which experienced a revenue decline of 6% last year. The Internet’s share of total advertising revenue in Canada grew from 19.4% in 2010 to 21.7% in 2011. Read the rest of this entry »
